I can not connect to my Yahoo Messenger. I downloaded several times but still does not work.?

Always show the "Proxy Settings check" prior notice. I tried to change my connection preference Firewall with no proxy, but I can not change the country of origin because the drop-down menu is not active. I was able using this before, but after a month or so just does not work. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? Thank you.
