Why have proxy problems after changing ISP and places?
So I moved house and changed ISP and now I am unable to navigate Internet without proxy settings on. I do not want to use the proxy settings, but it will not function without them. My new ISP tells me it's a hardware problem or software on my end, but had not changed the hardware or software, only the location and ISP. Without the proxy settings I can Google stuff, but I can browsing any of the results. I have tried turning off my anti-virus … I'm using Vista with IE8, Firefox and Chrome achieve the same result of the three. Any advice? No error message. Stay in 'wait for the website' for all time. The PSI seeks to enter into the details, and because he was able to navigate said the problem was solved and did not want to spend more time working on it I guess. I will try the solution now, thanks.
What error you get when you are not able to connect sites? Tracking: ========= Have you verified that the DNS server entries are manually to the old ISP's DNS servers – either in your Internet settings your computer or router? If this is not the case, try removing the connection type and Windows network adapter, reboot and let Windows rediscover them again. Make sure you have downloaded the drivers for network adapter manufacturer before you do this in Windows if the driver fumbles for some reason when adapter is removed. What led you to try to use a proxy to fix the problem? More tracking ============ very interesting that just going to know what the problem. It kind of sounds like they have seen the problem before and have not been able to fix it. If the suggestions I do not fix it, I would suggest dumping this and get another ISP if possible. They have problems.
