My friend and I were discussing what it would be able to surf the Internet safely from a location at sea the other day. While I admit that is a conversation rather strange and geeky but emanates from something we both like and that is censorship. You see governments around the world are increasingly doing two things about the Internet

  • Monitoring and insisting on our web browsing, there are emails
  • Control and restrict the parts of the web that we can visit

It's no joke and anyone who gets very upset when their posts are moderated in a forum you can imagine how worked up I have about such things. The debate over navigation secure website at sea was in particular in relation to my discovery that if you surfed the internet in Turkey – a secular, liberal, that there were actually sites could not visit because of religion.

Anyway I should probably explain the technical basis behind these blocks – is all to do with your address IP. It's almost your online identity and can be traced back to your computer through your ISP. In fact, its approximate location can be deducted automatically from your address IP, and is how a UK citizen would be blocked from using the Pandora Radio website and how Americans are blocked from using European Online Casinos. Test blocked if any and you're in the wrong place.

So how can I hide my location

There is a simple way appear on a website that actually browsing from a different place and that is to use an anonymous proxy server. All this does is to channel their requests through web a different location – you find the website to navigate from the country of the proxy server. Better yet, your real IP address is not recorded on the website you visit.

So this is how you can surf safely?

Oh no – proxy servers to mask their identity from the Web server that you visit, but everything else is evident, the ISP will be recorded on web page that is delivered to your computer and all records contain all its history for years.

To navigate safely you need to do more – you need a fast proxy server, private property is set to be fully anonymous, have the facility to automatically switch to alternate power countries where necessary and most of all you need the movement across Web-encrypt with a military-grade encryption. This means that your connection can not be traced back from the target Web server and all communication is completely protected hackers, government meddling and identity thieves.

This also means you can navigate the rules and regulations of your location, select proxy servers. If you want to learn the secret of secure web browsing at sea then you need to read my link below.
