Why not Malwarebytes Anti-Malware find the virus in my computer …?

Salut, everything. My computer has a virus two days ago that I to open any executable files (basically, I can not do anything, because every executable file is "infected", as this malware masquerading as a security suite). It is "antivirone.com." I went to IE8 and disabled (unchecked) the "Use proxy server" option, apply the change. I have Vista, though. I restarted in safe mode (with networking) and was able to download a version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (version 1.46), made a "Quick Scan", and the program found nothing suspicious in the log. Does that mean I have to get the full, the latest version ($ 24.95) of Malwarebytes, or is there some other operation to be performed or some other antivirus and antimalware software should be running? Thanks!

Many programs malware are unable to collect the virus infections for a variety of reasons. Some are only for spyware, ad ware, tracking cookies and such. I used this scanner online for years to find and fix major problems (Norton, McAfee) will not. Both AVG and Housecall are free.
