guys, come on, please, help me who know something about network sharing!!!!!!!?
i have a wireless data card, which i want to share with my neighbours. i tried setting up a router-free connection. Ad-hoc connection works, we all have different ip addresses, connection which i use for internet is also shared. i tried it with and without using http proxy (192.168.1.2 port 80). then system indicates on other computers, that only connection to LAN exists, while I have internet available.
PS I have WinVista.
Whats a wireless data card? is this connecting to a wireless point or is this a Cell Card that calls out?
Where does your Wireless connect to. Thats what you need to set up to share. If you are connecting to some Wireless hub then share that
if you are using one of the cell Cards then you would need to connect there wiress onto your laptop. Just right click the internet connection and click share.
