hide proxy surf
do static ip adress are able to hide under proxies like dynamic ip adresses?

so ive been wondering , i want to start using a proxie to surf trough out the web regardless of speed to keep a low profile(anonymous). but i have a static ip adress, so i dont know weather proxies will still be able to hide my ip. also, i know they are proxies sponsored by different websites, and their are proxies that can be provided by youre computer support service…
the good part about proxies provided by your computer support service is, that you dont need to go to a website every time and using their proxies everytime you log in. instead as soon as you log in a proxie is atomatically set to your internet or whatever place is set on…..
is all this true???/ which one is safer to use, meaning, that wont collect info, and that it really willl hide my proxie. dont forget my other question is about if static ip adress can work in conjunction with proxies? please, help will be much appreciated!

I’ve switched to a personal VPN, http://www.surfbouncer.com instead of proxies. Works all the time and hasn’t been blocked. The VPN encrypts your entire connection including flash and Java. The proxy does not.
