Problems can occur if you are running more than one version of Java, since it can cause conflicts with each other. In addition, Java has a nasty habit of not removing older versions to upgrade to the new so you have to uninstall previous versions manually. Assuming you are in the Administrator account, go to Control Panel Add / Remove Programs and uninstall everything that says J2SE, Java and Java Runtime. Reboot (some computers require a reboot to complete the uninstall process). Then go to the site below and download the latest version of Java. Then in Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options, Options tab Advanced and scroll to the Java section and tickmark the "Use 1.6.2 (version changes with each update) for applet." Click Apply, click OK and restart (a restart is required for some equipment for bar setup). If you http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp using Firefox, again check to make sure there are older versions displayed in Add / Remove Programs and then install it from the following website:. https / / addons.mozilla.org / en-US / firefox / see / type: 7 Then go to Tools> Options> Content> Enable Java
