proxy https traffic
Can my boss see my https traffic?

Hi, I wondered if my corporate firewall proxy whatever snoop my https traffic? I've heard say it was a possibility. I have a core team provided by the IT department, Internet Explorer can be tempared for them so that is https traffic decipherable? so they can see my Yahoo, for example? Or any bank details of the company?

Well let's clarify this. You can see the traffic, for example, can be seen connected to your Yahoo mail account or your online banking. But they can not see the actual content of traffic, whenever a system is encrypted with strong encryption (which is the default these days). For example, imagine that your monitor traffic and you can see all the cars passing on the highway. You can see the cars, color and the brand but not many people are there or what they have inside their cars. are ways to avoid that, but I do not normally bother a company in doing this unless they had a valid reason.
