
Can a school act on you for using a proxy?
My school has recently discovered that over fifty students in my year group has accessed a proxy in the last two weeks. Now, I’m sure that I read somewhere that it is illegal to act on somebody who has used an anonymous proxy according to the privacy act of the UK.
So, can my school legally act on a student who has used a anonymous proxy? By act I mean an exclusion or something of that nature.
Just for extra information I am living in the United Kingdom.
if its against their acceptable use policy then yes they can do whatever they want to.
