Help connecting PS3 to PSN!?

I just got a PS3 Slim and I am trying to connect to PSN. We used a wired connection on the first day and has worked well. (Latest firmware) Then we tried to create the wireless network. (We have a Netgear WGR614v7 for a G router). Ok, so we've added MAC address of the PS3 to the filter list of our router, use the easy to install, entered our WEP key CORRECTLY, and failed to obtain the IP address. Then we went to our computer, and used the command ifconfig, which is the IP address and added one to the last figure, which is used and also uses the DNS server that the command gave us, and not in the state of the Internet with DNS error 80710102. Adjustments are manual and automatic DNS MTU IP, DHCP does not (do not use), the proxy server off, and UPnP off. Please help me.

Hi, I think you are having problems due to security used for your wireless network. I personally had problems when using a WEP key and Google search, it turned out he was not alone. I can setup my home network to use a combination WPA1/WPA2, but the PS3 is set to WPA2 security type. When I plugged it into my PS3 initially had MAC address filtering in my network and DNS automatically. My network broadcasts the SSID, so the PS3, you just have to select my SSID and password to enter the WPA2 Personal and connected to me. After I changed my network to use MAC filtering, which has never changed the DNS settings however. I've never had a problem since. Later added a server media without problems. Try switching from WEP to WPA Personal or WPA2 Personal (or a combination if the router supports it) and connect your PS3. Of course, when you do this, you will to reconfigure the network settings for each device connected to your home network. If that fails, then turn MAC address filtering on the network and see if the PS3 could obtain an IP address, then re-filter and add the MAC address of your PS3 and still needs further work.
