Is it possible to request through proxy and SOCKS proxy then a proxy by forwarding external SSH dynamic?

I'm on a computer school that is connected to the Internet through a SOCKS proxy district. I would be able to tunnel connections through an SSH server I have running in my house so I could check my email from the school (district gmail blocks). I connect through the proxy of the school to send / Receive all traffic outside the local subnet. I've been using CGI proxies, however, quickly blocked Becom'm looking for a permanent solution. Is this possible (or is a better way to do this)?

well, the obvious solution would be to run SSH over HTTP or just port 80.
