proxy wars cold war
What is the series of American interventions that some on the left provide as evidence American imperialism?

When speaking with some on the left, especially socialists and Chomskyites, they always recite a laundry list of examples of American intervention. They use this list to substantiate their claims of American arrogance and imperialism. I also notice they disregard all notions that proxy wars and creating coups, CIA interventions could be justified when fighting a greater Cold War. They always spout a lit in chronology and I can never seen to remember them all for further inquiry? I really believe this is a page out of the rules for leftist middle class radical playbook. They might have some credible argument and I would like to further investigate. I appreciate comments and insight from all sides. Thanks. -Eric
