Know of a Free Proxy Server?

I like to watch Hulu alot at home, however I have to travel outside the country alot and when I do I can’t watch it! So I want to set up a proxy server on my home computer (I have both Ubuntu and Vista Ultimate installed) so that I can use my laptop to connect to it and make it look like I’m visiting hulu from my home computer. I only need 1 user and don’t plan to share this connection with anyone else (For security purposes). Anyone know of any free software or any resources to point me in the right direction?

Proxies won’t work well as they are lousy at video.

Get OpenVPN. It is the best option and is very secure, an important factor since you will have to open the port to the outside. One thing you need to consider is that your home internet is not symmetrical. When trying to do what you are doing you have to be able to download and upload at the same effective speed so that the video will not be so slow that it doesn’t work. If you have a 512 up link and then add the VPN overhead you are going to have lousy performance. It’s worth a try but I think you will find this is the case.

Personally I recommend a commercial VPN provider, pay them a few bucks and let them worry about all the details.

In either Case the links below will take you to the OpenVPN site and the commercial VPN site I use.
