Does the use of a routing protocol as netbeui not protect my network?
I am thinking about using a linux proxy server to surf the Internet at home my local network and using only netbeui XP to connect my Linux machine to machine. "I can prevent TCP / IP on my local network and still access the network? Does use of a routing protocol such as NetBEUI not offer me any protection for my Windows machine spyware / hacking? If it is, is there a better or more efficient protocol they use, and that implementation of this strategy have unintended consequences, such as not being able to use certain features of the website or slow down my browsing? Be I need to use TCP / IP for Linux proxy server, but I have to install on my XP-based home network to access the proxy?
Sorry, you will to install the TCP / IP to use the Internet. However, to keep your shared files protected if you only link to me personally .. netbeui I just installed a good firewall and leave it at that
