Trying to connect to BT HOMEHub NETGREAR WNR834B or Belkin Router?
Well, I am fighting for quite some time to establish an adequate signal and how to get my VoIP working properly. You basically have two issues: a) I can configure a Netgear router to work through or a Belkin BT HomeHub G +? If I understand the Netgear ADSL modem is not as such but only an independent router with wireless functionality. b) I have VoIP from BT and I am trying to connect my HP iPAQ 514 Voice Messenger this service to receive calls by simply connecting to a wireless hotspot to the Internet. Well, if it would work I would here, would you?
I have all the BT settings (SIP proxy, registration, and URI, etc, etc) the only thing I find interesting is that in the setup wizard for the phone that there is no room for the name of the URI of the information, but again, since I'm not sure what it is because I do not know if it's necessary for that purpose at all. Any advice would be most welcome
Yes you are right its not an ADSL modem, but only a router, your need to connect to the center of origin BT to RJ45 network cable, then you need to configure WPA security then you need to allow trusted IP addresses to connect all types of wireless connections also make sure your firewall allows the router to connect all computers, this explanation is rather general, but hopefully you give an idea of what to do.
