You can not use Outlook Express using my Hotmail account-Error: Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server
Hello, I am trying to configure Outlook Express with my Hotmail account, but still appears with the following error: Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Http: / / services.msn.com / svcs / hotmail / httpmail.asp Account: 'Hotmail', Server:'', Session Initiation Protocol Invalid HTTPMail, Server Response: '.', Port: 0, Secure (SSL): No, Error Number: 0×800CCC32 I have tried Internet Options -> Tools -> Privacy -> www.hotmail.com -> Allow the IE -> Properites -> Connections – "Use a proxy server" is turned off – "Automatically detect settings" and "Use configuration automatic script "are unchecked Hotmail I deleted and re-adding that the Accounts -> Outlook Express I'm using Outlook Express 6. I'm very frustrated now and do not know what else to try. Thanks in advance for your help!
If you are using free Hotmail account will not be able to. Hotmail stopped allowing the free version to configure email clients from third in 2004. They said it was because of abuse by spammers. This Yahoo also is true. It is a work around. You can use the following extension to allow your email client to access your email accounts Hotmail and Yahoo mail.
